As the title says it was a surprise, a big one considering not only I got to know about the twins around 21 weeks but there was no chance of this happening since there are no cases in my family or my husband's. It was in fact a big shock and it took me nearly a week to get over it.
These are a couple of pictures of my belly a couple of weeks ago and then what can be seen of my babies (last Monday). Hopefully they will not come out before Easter but any time after that will be fine.
My plans for an HWBAC (Home water birth after cesarean) went out the window of course as it's too risky for anybody in Italy to consider such a thing happening, but at least I found an awesome obstetrician which will help me with the labor at home until 4-5cm and then take me to the only hospital near us (one hour of travel more or less) where the chief of Gynecology agreed to let me have my babies naturally if no serious problem arises.
I really don't know if I will have any time to update after they are born but I really hope so.
